Hydrogeosite

The Hydrogeosite Experimental Field, located in the municipality of Marsico Nuovo (PZ) in Val D’Agri, was established in 2006 to conduct experiments in the field of hydrogeophysics using electrical and electromagnetic methods. The facility allows for near-real-scale studies in the hydrogeophysical and hydrogeological sectors, enabling the simulation of multi-scale “analog” systems under controlled conditions. These experiments are applied in environmental, engineering, archaeological fields, and in the exploitation of geological resources. Additionally, provides the capability to install various sensors for monitoring geophysical and hydrogeological parameters, supporting the use of innovative geophysical investigation methodologies, the development of dynamic three-dimensional and four-dimensional analyses, and the integration of multisensor data from different disciplines.
